A Personal Scripture of the Year

The other day I was reading an article from the New Era titled "Trust in the Lord." In it, a laurel prays to find a scripture that she can use as her personal theme for the year. She found Proverbs 3:5 about trusting in the Lord. That fall, her brother died. She was able to overcome this hardship because she had spent 9 months learning to trust in the Lord.

Wouldn't it be neat if we all found our own personal scripture/theme for the year? It would be something just for you, in addition to the mutual theme designated by the church.

Here's the challenge: Pray to Heavenly Father to be directed to a scripture. Strive to make it part of your life. Design or create something for your bedroom that reminds you of your scripture. Memorize it. Keep a journal of how it helps you through the year. (This would be a GREAT 10-hour project for one of the values.) Share your scripture and your experiences here!
