Packing List

Oh the Things We Will Bring!

Here is a reminder of items to pack. Make sure that you label things with your name.

Please bring your stuff to LuAnn's house on Wednesday night at 5:00.

*sleeping bag

*air mattress or pad (don't forget a pump!)

*warm coat, sweatshirt, or layers

*clothing-- no tank tops, shorts must be knee length

*swimsuit-- you can wear clothes or a swimsuit for the water activities 

*towel

*scriptures

*flashlight

*canteen or water bottle

*toothbrush & toothpaste

*personal toiletries -- there are showers there.  If you choose to use them, it will be on your own time.

*sun screen

*insect repellent

*spending money (there is a trading post)

*pen & notebook/journal

*camera

*camp chair

*plate & cup

Remember, cell phones, ipods, etc ARE NOT INVITED TO CAMP.  Please leave them home.

Tuesday: Camp Activity-- learn your tent assignments, shop for secret tents, and other fun things

Wednesday: Drop off your stuff at Luann's house starting at 5:00

Thursday: GIRLS CAMP!  Meet at the church at 6:30 am.  You are responsible for your own breakfast-- either eat before you come or bring something with you.

Saturday: Return home from camp around 4:00

Sunday, July 22nd: Sing our camp song in sacrament meeting

Camp TV!!

We all had a blast at Girl's Camp this past week! The theme was 'Camp TV' or 'Camp True Virtue'. We had the TV station 'ABC' which we decided would stand for 'A Beautiful Choice'. We had so many fun reality TV themed activities from 'speed dating' to 'Mormons got Talent'. It was so much fun!

We made these adorable covers for our Book of Mormons! They turned out really cute!

We acted out some 'What would you do' Scenarios too.

The hike! It was only 1 1/2 miles, but to most of us, it felt like so much more! Some of the girls found a frog while we were hiking.

Mormons got Talent! We lip synched to several versions of 'Once there was a snowman' for our skit. It was so much fun!

Our 'Porcupine Palace'. We had a porcupine that climbed up the tree by our pavillion. It stayed up there all day long. We should have charged money for all the people that came by to see him. He was really cute! We also saw some badgers cross the road and hiss at us while we were trying to drive home. And Kellis was scared to death by a snake that crossed the path in front of her. It was fun seeing so much wild life!

Camp True Virtue-- A Beautiful Choice

*Girls camp is this Tuesday- Friday! Meet at the church on Tuesday at 6:00 AM with sack lunches and snacks.

*All camp stuff needs to be dropped off at Kelli's house on Monday between 6:00 and 7:00.

Girls Camp Name Contest!

Girls Camp is coming up in June and the stake has a ton of fun things planned for us! The theme for camp this year is camp 'True Virtue' or camp 'TV'. We have been given the TV station 'ABC' and we need to think of a fun name for our ward using those letters. Some examples are: The Stake Leaders are 'CNN' or the 'Celestial News Network'. The Preisthood Leaders are 'ESPN' or the 'Essential Servicemen Providing Necessities'. etc. We need your help for some fun ideas. We will have a prize for whoever comes up with the name we choose. Good luck ladies! We can't wait for Girls Camp!

Girl's Camp Auction!!

It is almost time for our Girl's Camp Auction! It is coming up really soon on Friday, March 18th. Everyone that is planning on coming to camp needs to help with the auction as well as have an item or service to donate. We want some ideas of things or services to donate. What do YOU plan on donating?

More Girls Camp Fun!

We all had so much fun at girls camp! Boating was the best! Several of the girls got up on the knee board. It was a blast! We can't wait for next year!

We had so much fun at the lake! All the girls went tubing and many of them went knee boarding, wake boarding, and water skiing! It was a blast!

For one of our crafts we made flower hair clips. The girls had so much fun and there were so many creative ideas. We also made really cute bracelets. It was so much fun!

Temple building time! We had a 'temple building' contest. Everyone was really creative and had a great time! They all turned out so cute!

Skit time! The skits turned out really cute this year! Everyone did such a good job and we all had so much fun!

The leaders did one too!

We have a tradition of painting the Men's finger nails when the Bisopbric comes up on guest night. They are always such good sports!

Everyone had so much fun spending time together and making new friends! Thank you so much to all that helped make this such a great camping trip for us all! We can't wait for next year!
