We had a fantastic time at youth conferene this year-- due hugely to the fact that we have the most amazing youth in our ward!
We had a great start to the day with baptisms for the dead at the Salt Lake temple. Following that we raced each other around temple square doing a scavanger hunt. (I still want to go find that darn leaf in the pavement near the tabernacle!)

I think we all agree that doing baptisms in the Salt Lake Temple was such a wonderful experience! After the Temple Square activities, we went to the Church History Library where we saw some amazing artifacts from Church history, including a Book of Mormon read and signed by Elvis and the actual manuscripts of sections 121-123 of the Doctrine and Covenants.

We met later that day for dinner and games at the park. We laughed a lot as we played ninja, huma foosball, charades, and werewolves.

Day #2 started wit breakfast and a service project at the YWCA. We helped with some much needed grounds work.

The weeds had taken over the area, and we were very impressed and with how good it looked when we were done!
Some youth even became master bush trimmers!

We had a yummy turkey dinner down in Manti, then hung out waiting for the Manti pageant to begin. The pageant was wonderful, (though a little cold) and filled with the Spirit!

We were woken in the morning to the young men serenading us out on the patio and setting the mood for a delicious breakfast (that is once we got the girls out of bed!) :)

Youth Conference was wrapped up with a morning devotional from Bishop Smith. He was inspired to encourage us to read the Book of Mormon and renew our committments to living the gospel. We took a pledge to read the Book of Mormon 5 minutes each day.
