S.W.A.T

SERVICE WITHOUT A TRACE
Kelli taught a wonderful lesson on Sunday about serving others. Using President Monson's recent Conference talk, she posed the question: "What have you done for someone else today?" We were all challenged to find someone to serve this week, then report back on the blog. She gave us a paper that said "You've been S.W.A.T.ed (Service Without a Trace)" to leave for the people we serve. I'm anxious to see what kinds of service we come up with this week!

Well, my service wasn't anonymous--they knew who did it. I have the most wonderful parents and younger sister who are always willing to baby-sit for us. Last night Brent and I went downtown for the 1st Presidency Christmas Devotional while my family baby-sat. Since they do so much for me, I wanted to do something for them, so I made them a nice dinner to eat while they baby-sat. It made me feel good to know that I could do something small for them while they were serving me.

On Monday morning I made each of my 3 girls beds and cleaned up their rooms. It didn't take me long and it made me feel happy all day!!! I think they know who did the service for them, but it was fun anyway. I'm glad I could teach the lesson to you girls. You are AWESOME!

I told a lady at the grocery store that her head band was cute.
Then I shared a CHEX coupon with a lady who had CHEX in her basket but didn't have a coupon! It was fun.
I did a free haircut tonight for a client that did something for me a few weeks ago! It felt good!

I was in Walmart the other day and a little girl (about 3 years old) was throwing a tantrum because she needed a kleenex but all her mom had was a baby wipe, which of course she did not want to use. I had a kleenex, so I offered it to the mom and the girl calmed down right away. That didn't take any effort on my part, yet I'm sure meant a lot to the mom!
